My Fashion Bloggy: And So We Meet Again

My Fashion Bloggy: And So We Meet Again

And So We Meet Again

So, it has been quite a while since I updated my little blog and yes, I could sit here and make lots of silly excuses but truth is, I needed inspiration. Winter came and went, and I found it hard to get back into the swing of things.. I had to give myself a great big size 6 kick in the ass and get motivated..

But I am back and truly ready to start updating you with all my fashion finds and beauty secrets..

Firstly, can I just say that I am so excited about the S/S 2011 fashion range, it really is a dolly mixture of all-sorts, you can do 70's, punk, colour block, tailoring or like me mix it all
up.
When it comes to fashion, there are no rules, if you feel like putting floral with checks, polka dots or stripes than go with it.

Penney's is great for adding a bit of mix to an ordinary looking outfit, with a wide selection of floral accessories and fabulous handbags.. If you're feeling brave then go for an all in one jumpsuit, fabulous on the tall but if your not endowed with long legs then just team it with a chunky pair of wedges.. I think they suit all shapes and sizes and always look so feminine.
I love this jumpsuit I have shown, the navy polka dots are bang on trend, but how cute would it look with an over sized birkin style handbag, chunky jewellery and a big floppy hat..
I am going to explore everything from false nails, acrylic, gel and shellac to hair extensions.

I am going to explore everything from false nails, acrylic, gel and shellac to hair extensions.
And... I have to mention, lets not forget.... Maternity, I have seen so many blooming pregnant ladies lately it made me think, they need to be embraced and celebrated so I will be giving tips on how to look your best during pregnancy..
If you want hints or tips on anything in particular or just for me to mention something, please leave a comment...

And remember... You're Fabulous :)

My Picks of the week

Unike most people I just love to see the Autumn Winter range of clothes and shoes coming into the shops. They are my favourite seasons and even thinking about walking on crisp golden leaves that have fallen to the ground gives me little fluffy goosebumps..
I have had to restrain myself from going too nuts as if you buy now you tend to get sick of the item by the time your ready to wear it, If you totally love an item then of course buy it, but put it away somewhere where you wont have to look at it everyday and take it out when your ready to put away your summer wardrobe.
Some of the main trends I have noticed is Bigger platforms and chunkier heels. The loafer platform is going to be everywhere this year so grab yourself a pair if you like a bit
                                      of height.

Topshop have a great range and also have these fab chunky strappy heels, wear with Tea Dress and coloured tights.... Stunning!!!
There is also a slight military feel and the boyish trend is everywhere, team up tailoured trousers with a feminine blouse and military style jacket and you will be bang on trend. Also, my favourite, "The Romantic" look is back again, you can achieve this very easily by blending lace with chiffons and velvets and always throw on loads of pearls, chains and beads for night time, or for a funkier twist add studs, metallics, safety pins or whatever tickles your fancy!!!

Here are just a few of my favourites for this Week.

Shoe and the City!!!

Autumn Winter Range

Geox Selection

After spending the morning traipsing around the shops looking for a nice pair of strappy gold sandals, much to my disappointment the selection was nothing to write home about.... After a friend told me about Shoe City which is just outside Castle Blaney, I decided to take a trip over and see what it was all about...To my surprise, the selection of shoes is just amazing.

They have great labels for Women, Men and children

such as Geox, Escape, Garbour, Lelli Kellie, Converse,

Caterpiller, Timberland, Loakes and many more..

I even spotted a pair of black gladiator sandals with a gold zip on the front which are identical to a pair in the Jimmy Choo S/S 10 range.

So many handbags

They also have a fab range of Bridal Shoes, Jewellery, Handbags and Accessories. And the icing on the cake..... Great prices!!! I picked up a fab pair of gold strappy sandals that Carrie Bradshaw would die for, and they only cost me.... Wait for it....

 €35....BARGAIN!!!!!
Get yourself down to Shoe City for all your footwear, back to school, weddings, debs balls or for just everyday, I guarantee you will find what your looking for...

My Fashion Bloggy: A sunkissed look without the Sun Damage!!

My Fashion Bloggy: A sunkissed look without the Sun Damage!!

A sunkissed look without the Sun Damage!!

I must admit, I was one of those people who had to have a few sunbed sessions before and after going on holidays. Now, after discovering the best self tan I have ever used I am ridding myself of the tanning salons and finding myself looking and feeling so much better for it. The product is called He-She Express Liquid Tan and I can promise that once you use it you will never look back.
Self-tanning has many advantages over the traditional suntan. It is instant and you can decide how dark you want it to look. It suits fair and darker skinned people.Tan lines are completely avoided and as it is temporary it will only last for a week. Moreover, sunless tanning is completely safe.
I purchased the product along with the applicator mitt and it was very easy to apply. The mitt can be washed in your washing machine which means you can use it over and over again.
The product is a dark coloured liquid, you apply to the mitt and rub into the area, then blend down onto the hands and feet. If you want a darker look, it dries straight away so just reapply it. I generally have my shower and shave the day before applying, it will gradually darken over a few hours. I also found that any little mishaps (ankles and elbows) can be tidied up by simply using a baby wipe.... GENIUS!!!
I am back from holidays over 2 months now and as you all know we haven't had that many sunny days, yet everyone admires my tan and asks me where I've been on my holidays... My skin feels soft all the time and I even apply it to my face before going to bed..
Also, unlike other tanning products, it does not smell, my husband Rob can vouch for that....lol
After shopping around I found the best deal for this product is on www.lookinggoodgirl.com They have 300ml Express Liquid Tan and Free Mitt for €41.65
Let me know what you think of this product or if you have any hints or tips to share.
Also, you can follow He-She on facebook where they give their top tips of the day. This is Thursdays top tip from He-She
"Thursday’s Top Tip: - You already know that He-Shi Express Liquid Tan, delivers a quick and easy bronze tan, what you might not know is that it has a very high glycerine content, so it will keep your skin moisturised, soft and silky!"
